My daughter Csenge's birth in 100 pictures - part 6
(the first moments of life)Soon the midwife said, "she wants to come out" and took her out of the water. (It was because the baby began to gasp underwater, which meant she lacked oxygen. No wonder, as the cord had been strangling her for a while.) She was indeed a little bluish and limp when she got out, but the cold air did the job, because she was breathing a second thereafter. I literally jumped over the cord from the hands-and-knees position into sitting, so I could hold her. By this time she was in Zoltan's hands again. (Our midwife held her promise, she was very off-hands unless it was about life or death. I really appreciate her respect of our "do-it-ourselves" wish!) Well, there we were, holding our little one in our joined hands, loving her and each other at the same time. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life!
She let out a few loud, but quite womanly screams (like when you step on a cat's tail :o)), so we lowered her back into the water, until only her face was out. Then she relaxed again. After we called her Csenge the third time, Zoltan suggested to check whether she was a girl :o). Yep, she was. :o) I tried to nurse her, but she was not interested yet.
Gasping for air - she needs to come out now, so our midwife picks her up
She is trying to give her to me, but she's not yet breathing, getting bluish and we are in an awkward position, so I need to change.
I'm "jumping" over the cord remarkably quickly to be able to hold her. Ági stimulates the baby's back and soon she is taking her first breaths.
Welcome! Love just pours out in masses! :o)
Notice how quickly Ági has disappeared! Many thanks to her for letting our birth be ours!
It's a GIRL!
Wow! She can scream LOUDLY!
I dutyfully put her onto my breast...
Hey, Mom, are you sure I have to suck on this?!
Ok, if you insist...
The circle of love is completed. Zoltan gave me his love gift 9 months ago. Today I gave mine into his hands... This is the strongest bond possible on Earth!Webhost: Andrea Noll
